Brief overview:

A bespoke introduction to mentoring and how to apply these skills in practice. This course is designed to equip a faculty of trained mentors with the skills to deliver high quality mentoring to colleagues within the Trust.

Key learning outcomes:

  • What is mentoring – how does it differ from supervision and counselling
  • How to have difficult conversations and use your mentoring skills in practice
  • How to develop active listening skills and become a skilled mentor who can support a variety of colleagues

Course dates:

This is a 3 day course and you must attend all three days:

Tuesday 10th May 2022 (08.30 – 2.30)

Tuesday 31st May 2022 (08.30 – 2.30)

Tuesday 21st June 2022 (08.30 – 2.30)

Senior trainees (ST5 plus), consultants, SAS doctors

Once you have completed the course you will need to make a commitment to mentoring two people per year.
