Course overview:
A brand-new, half-day course designed to introduce you to the varied simulation technologies available within the Trust. Through-out the course, you will gain an understanding in how to recognise, and use, simulation technology appropriate to your needs.
Topics covered:
Our Facilities and Team; the Simulators available to you; smots™ – our camera system; Immersive Technology; VR; Bespoke Equipment.
Learning Outcomes:
- To gain an understanding of the facilities and support available within the STRIVE Academic Centre
- To be able to identify, and prepare, a simulator for basic training sessions
- To be able to identify smots™ Cameras, and use of the smots™ Software
- To understand what Immersive spaces are and what is available
- To be able to set up and use VR Headsets, including use of laptop-alone training on OMS
- To understand what bespoke equipment is available, how to book them and how to use them
