This half day course will provide the knowledge necessary for staff to start actively applying Human Factors and Civility considerations in their everyday work with a focus on improving patient safety outcomes across the organisation. It is tailored specifically towards Cath Lab staff, inclusive of everyone and relevant for staff.
We will draw on experiences from teams to improve team dynamics so that moving forward, we can create an environment that is safe for all staff and patients. This session will create a safe environment to be able to engage in discussions.
The course includes:
- Reviews – fundamentals of Human Factors concepts
- Skills Sessions and Workshops – communication workshop, team working techniques, discussions
- Introduction to Civility and Incivility
- Strategies to address incivility within the trust
- Team building strategies
Aim
Building on fundamental concepts to enable staff to apply human factors considerations in their everyday clinical work with a focus on improving patient safety outcomes across the organisation.
Increase awareness in the definition of incivility and provide opportunities to tackle incivility in a safe learning environment.
Target Audience
This course is open to all members of staff at South Tees within the Cardio Cath Labs teams
Certification
Once candidates have completed this course, feedback forms will be sent out via email for completion. Attendees will be provided with resources from the session and a certificate that is valid and can be used as part of your CPD.
