Course Overview:
The “Human Factors in Healthcare” session is designed to enhance staff understanding of the critical role Human Factors play in Patient Safety.
Participants will explore the concept of Human Factors, focusing on how non-technical skills; such as communication, teamwork and decision-making; impact clinical practice. The session will delve into Safety 1 and Safety 2 principles.
Additionally, attendees will learn about systems thinking, which encourages an integrated view of healthcare environments and processes. By examining how different components of a system interact together, participants will be better equipped to identify potential risks and implement strategies that promote a safer, more efficient working environment.
This interactive session combines theoretical knowledge with practical applications, empowering staff to recognise the significance of Human Factors in their daily roles and create a culture of safety and continuous improvement in healthcare delivery. Join us to enhance your skills and contribute to better patient outcomes.
