The Business Skills Workshops (BSW) programme is a series of educational modules that has been developed by Pfizer to support individuals and organisations within the NHS to enhance their knowledge and skills related to service improvement.

This programme consists of eight workshops, which are free to the NHS and can be delivered either as half day workshops, or separate modules, in a virtual or face to face setting. The modules will be delivered by a Pfizer Healthcare Partnership Manager (HPM) or Clinical Effectiveness Consultant (CEC) who understand your local NHS environment, whilst also having knowledge and experience of using these business skills in a commercial environment.

All the Business Skills Workshops are CPD approved.

By the end of this workshop you will:

Understand the reasons for assessing your service, know in more detail what you would like your service to achieve, and how to action this

The Assess your Service Workshop provides tools and techniques to:

  • Conduct Service Assessment utilising a PESTLE & SWOT
  • Understand stakeholders and key stakeholders needs
  • Review the ‘successful service’ elements: Patient outcomes, Quality and Spend
  • Consider performance measures and data sources

Previous attendees have said:

“The workshop provided me with tools to use throughout the process of assessing an individual part of the service”

“I gained reassurance of my current approaches”
