Course Overview: Basic Flexible Cystoscopy Course – Principles and Practical Application
Currently seeking accreditation from the British Association of Urological Surgery (BAUS).
This one‑day course provides a structured introduction to the principles and clinical application of flexible cystoscopy. It integrates concise didactic teaching with supervised, hands‑on simulation‑based training to support the development of technical competence, procedural confidence, and safe clinical practice.
This course is dedicated to experiential learning through small‑group, faculty‑led practical stations. Participants will gain hands‑on experience in diagnostic flexible cystoscopy, biopsy, intravesical Botox injection, the management of difficult urethral catheterisation using guidewire techniques and the principles of transurethral laser ablation. Teaching is delivered in a supportive environment with structured feedback and opportunities for discussion.
This course is suitable for clinicians wishing to develop or consolidate their flexible cystoscopy skills in a safe, educational setting.
