Brief overview:
This course will enable you to develop the skills to critically analyse medical/nursing research papers. You will be able to appraise the paper and assess its validity and usefulness.
Key outcomes:
- Analyse a paper using checklists.
- Spot errors in papers.
- Identifying bias.
- Develop a methodological approach to reading research.
- Understanding different study designs.
- Understanding data and how it is presented in a paper.
Target audience:
Any South Tees staff that are interested in developing their skills in how to analyse and appraise a medical/nursing/allied health research paper.
