AIM:

This session is designed to provide Educational and Clinical Supervisors with an overview of the Foundation Programme curriculum requirements, while enhancing confidence and efficiency in using the Horus ePortfolio system.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the roles and responsibilities of Foundation Educational and Clinical Supervisors, including the completion of supervisor reports
  • Gain a clear understanding of the UK Foundation Programme Office (UKFPO) Curriculum 2021 (Revised for 2026) and the mandatory requirements for Foundation ARCP outcomes
  • Monitor Foundation Doctors’ progress and provide guidance on curriculum evidence requirements and the effective use of the Horus ePortfolio to support their preparation for ARCP

Who Should Attend?

This training is suitable for:

  • Newly appointed Educational Supervisors (ES) and Clinical Supervisors (CS)
  • Existing supervisors who would benefit from a refresher on Foundation Programme requirements and the use of Horus

To maintain up-to-date knowledge and best practice, foundation supervisors are encouraged to attend this training at least once every two years.
