Brief overview:

Virtual Reality (VR), which can be described as immersive multimedia or computer-simulated reality, replicates a clinical environment that simulates a physical presence in places in the real world or an imagined world, allowing the learner to interact in that world.

VR offers benefits for learners, delivering cost-effective, repeatable, standardised clinical training scenarios across all medical disciplines on demand which can be mapped to the curriculum. This will enhance clinicians’ ability to retain, evaluate and apply the learning to patient care in the clinical environment.

Accessing a wide of range of clinical scenarios across all medical disciplines, this, individual self-directed learning opportunity can be used as reflective evidence for their portfolio.
