A two day instructor course designed to train potential instructors on how to teach on the provider courses.
The Generic Instructor Course is overseen by the Resuscitation Council (UK) and Advanced Life Support Group. Assessment is carried out across the whole of the 2 days.
The course is run over 2 days and comprises of lectures, demonstrations, discussions and practice stations. Pre-course materials are forwarded one month before the course and the candidate is advised to read these carefully. Whilst the course is designed to teach the candidate how to teach adults effectively, it is essential that the candidate has excellent core knowledge of the relevant provider course.
