Brief overview:
Simulation training is a mandatory part of the internal medicine training curriculum for junior doctors. The following sessions are planned:
Human factors and non-technical skills (medical registrar ready) course
This course focuses on the use of non-technical skills (situational awareness, decision making, team working/ leadership and communication) and awareness of how human factors impact on clinical care. The complex cases are aimed at developing skills required by medical registrars. The focus is on learning with a detailed debrief following each scenario in which the experience is discussed, non-judgemental feedback is provided and a development plan is agreed so that learning can be applied to clinical practice. It consists of a half day consisting of four scenarios.

Certification
All attendees will receive a certificate for attendance upon completion of the feedback survey sent out after the session.
