Brief Overview
Developing the ability of holding effective coaching conversations is a powerful way for you to empower others to develop themselves, encouraging independent problem-solving, recognising opportunities and ultimately improving performance. Leaders that develop coaching skills also see increasingly higher levels of employee engagement, motivation and efficiency.

By the end of the session, learners will be able to:
Describe the key differences and similarities between coaching and mentoring
Identify situations where using coaching skills would be beneficial
Describe the key skills required for an effective coaching conversation
Apply a simple coaching model in practice
Use coaching and mentoring techniques to provide support to staff and students
