Overview:
This week’s lunchtime teaching topic is Menopause Awareness which will be presented by Sharon Ollivier – menopause lead.
This course is designed to develop skills and knowledge in understanding menopause. Topics include what is menopause, the impact of symptoms, legislation, and how to have a supportive conversation and reasonable adjustments.
Learning objectives:
- To understand the impact of menopausal symptoms and how these can affect our colleagues at work and home.
- Recognise the benefits of speaking openly about menopause.
- Identify how you can support your colleagues and sign post appropriate help.
- Legal implications and introduction of the Trust menopause policy and what this means.
- How menopause can impact on minority groups.
- Identifying reasonable adjustments.
Target Audience:
This session is available to all members of South Tees.
It will be held in Room 11 STRIVE JCUH and streamed to STRIVE FHN Drs Mess
