Course Overview

Neurodiversity is an important part of workplace diversity, and managers play a key role in shaping the culture, experiences and opportunities within their teams.

This comprehensive one-day course has been designed to support managers to develop the knowledge, confidence and practical skills needed to lead neurodiverse teams inclusively and effectively.

The first part of the programme builds on core neurodiversity awareness, exploring neurodiversity, individual experiences, strengths, barriers and the ways in which workplace environments can affect neurodivergent people. The second part focuses on the manager’s role and provides opportunities to apply this understanding to everyday leadership and people-management practice.

Through interactive learning, reflection, discussion and practical workplace-based activities, delegates will explore inclusive leadership, psychological safety, communication, workplace support and approaches that enable neurodivergent colleagues to thrive.

The course promotes strengths-based, person-centred and trauma-informed approaches. It recognises that every individual is different and that effective support should be developed through respectful, collaborative conversations rather than assumptions or a one-size-fits-all approach.
