Overview:

This is a one-day masterclass for established surgeons to gain an insight into Human Factors, how these impact on surgical performance, and how they can also be beneficial in surgical training.

The course will discuss the Non-Technical skills which underpin good surgical performance, how these can be observed and rated, in addition to the use of feedback

The application of Non-Technical Skills in Surgery and Human Factors not only enhances surgical performance but also improve patient outcomes and patient safety.

Target Audience:

This course is aimed towards surgeons and anaesthetists (ST5 and above, SAS doctors and consultants).
