Brief overview:

A national one-day study day delivered by experts within their field on inspiratory and expiratory muscle training, breathing and wellness (mind and body, slow breathing, autonomic nervous system, relaxation, heart rate variability, carbon dioxide sensitivity, sleep), musculoskeletal issues (rib cage mobility, thoracic spine, pelvic floor, diaphragmatic release).

Learning outcomes:

  • Be able to conduct an advanced subjective and physical assessment of a patient with Breathing Pattern Disorder
  • Improve knowledge of muscle training, musculoskeletal issues contributing to breathing pattern disorders and breathing and wellness.
  • Improve treatment techniques in relation to above.

Course fee £170 per candidate

Target audience:

Designed for physiotherapists who already have some basic skills and experience in treating patients with breathing dysfunction but are keen to further develop these.
