Course overview:

A half-day course that will support attendees to develop a range of clinical and practical skills. The course focuses on developing the clinical skills and competencies that are essential in advanced clinical practice

Key Learning Outcomes:

The following practical skills are covered on the course: 

  • Use of ultrasound to assist IV cannulation
  • Arterial blood gas sampling and interpretation
  • Injection of local anaesthetic to skin
  • Introduction to suturing and knot tying

Target Audience:

This course is aimed at allied health professionals and nurses who are either working as an advanced clinical practitioner, in training or who are preparing to develop their advanced clinical practice knowledge and skills
