Brief overview:

As a mean of introducing candidates to additional Lean tools the Service Improvement SIPOC session introduces candidates to this systems thinking planning and process explore tool called SIPOC.

SIPOC stands for Suppliers, Inputs, Process, Outputs and Suppliers as in an excellent systems thinking tools as it helps to link process outputs and inputs to customers and suppliers.

It seeks to understand if process inputs are present that enable control outputs. The tool will also help to demonstrate how outputs become the inputs to subsequent steps. Enabling you to identify gaps as you design processes or implement change to existing processes.    

To tool can also be useful in identifying supplier issues as well as mapping out all customers along a patient pathway. By the end of the session candidates will have gained a good understanding of:

Fee: This training is free to attend for South Tees Hospitals employees. Non-attendance may be charged to your centre. If you have booked a place on this session on behalf of another member of staff, please ensure this is in their diaries and roster also.
