Overview:

This programme aims to enhance multidisciplinary competence in the assessment, delivery, and escalation of complex nutritional care. Simulation-based teaching provides participants with a safe, realistic environment to practise clinical management, collaborative communication, and the effective management of high-risk nutritional scenarios.

Learning objectives:

  1. Develop a comprehensive understanding of complex nutritional needs in the acute setting. 
  2. Apply national standards, local policies, and safety frameworks for enteral and parental nutrition.
  3. Strengthen clinical reasoning for initiating, monitoring and adjusting nutrition therapy.
  4. Demonstrate effective teamwork, role clarity, and handover communication.
  5. Recognise and escalate risks, including refeeding syndrome, line sepsis, and tube displacement. 
  6. Improve confidence in patient-centred care and shared decision-making during ethically challenging cases.

Target audience:

This is event is for Doctors and registered Nurses who are part of UHT. If you do not meet this critera your booking will be removed.
