Course overview:
This nationally recognised course enables you to recognise signs and symptoms of the possible range of abuse and or neglect in children of all ages. Respond competently and confidently, knowing what knowledge and skills are needed to recognise child abuse. Know how to make a referral to the relevant agency or professional group and to find out the outcome of a referral. Understand the importance of follow-up to the health and developmental outcome for the child. This course includes pre-course preparation.
Eligbility:
This course has been developed for doctors in training, mainly in paediatrics, emergency medicine and general practice.
