Building the Future of Surgical Research — Together

Are you passionate about surgical research? Whether you are a UK based surgeon, fellow, resident doctor, allied health professional, career researcher, or academic with an interest in advancing surgical science, we invite you to join us for the Women in Surgical Research Conference on 2nd June 2026 at the historic Guildhall, York.

This inspiring event will bring together a diverse community of clinicians and researchers to share knowledge, experiences, and opportunities in surgical research. The programme will feature expert speakers, personal research journeys, and practical insights into developing research skills across multiple surgical disciplines. There will also be dedicated opportunities to showcase your own work and to connect with colleagues through meaningful networking. Approved for 4 CPD hours by the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh (RCSEd).

Abstracts

Candidates are invited to submit abstracts on any surgical topic, with a maximum length of 250 words. The highest scoring abstract will be shortlisted for oral presentation at the meeting taking place on 2nd of June, with the remaining abstracts invited to be presented as poster presentations.
