Brief overview:

Our Bitesize session introduces the model 5S as a tool for organisational improvement.  The workshop will introduce candidates to waste identification and the use of 5S to support with waste elimination, through improved organisation of the working environment.  The second half of the session will focus upon producing a 5S improvement plan specific to each candidates own working area. 

Course content includes:

  • Description of 5S tool
  • Overview of waste wheel
  • Waste identification
  • In-depth overview of each 5S stage
  • Practical examples of 5S
  • Creation of 5S project plan

Target audience:

  • Departments going through STAQC accreditation that may require support to organise their working environment more effectively.
