Brief overview:

In this session we will cover the rationale behind clinical teaching with some educational theory. There will be some brief exercises and examples of clinical teaching techniques. Some of the principles of assessment and methods of assessing clinical proficiency will also be covered.

  • To be able to discuss some rational behind clinical teaching
  • To be able to discuss some theory behind clinical teaching
  • To be able to state some examples of clinical teaching and how this links to theory to optimise teaching
  • To participate in exercises to aid clinical teaching

Bronze level. Ideal for trainees, trust and specialty/SAS doctors and consultants new to education or wishing to update.
